VALLDEMOSSA

The village of Valldemossa in the heart of the Tramuntana Mountains, where George Sand and Frederic Chopin spent an entire winter, is a place where I like to meditate in order to receive all the intensity of the Mediterranean light: the ocher houses of hewn stone, the silvery green olive trees and the immortal green of the oaks.

The landscapes have less sharp contrasts than those of Northern Europe, but an infinite range of tones and shades. A decidedly vibrant experience that introduced me to the understanding of colours and secondary colours, variations of light and shade and balanced composition.
